The better you can control your movements, the better your mobility. Mastering exercises that improve your strength, flexibility and balance will help you do the things you love.

Learn to exercise properly.

Many personal trainers and exercise leaders are not thoroughly trained to work with older adults. They may not know how to modify exercises for older adults. Inappropriate exercises often lead to injuries. It takes more time for older adults to heal from injuries. During this recovery time, many seniors experience additional declines in strength, stamina, flexibility, and balance. These declines lead to a loss in independence, ultimately resulting in fewer social opportunities.

Golden Years Wellness courses will teach you the proper form for many movements. These lessons can be applied to other areas of your life, including your current exercise program. Helping you avoid injury while improving your mobility, allowing you to get out and enjoy your life.

Golden Years Wellness is NOT physical therapy. Older adults with injuries should seek counsel from their physician or physical therapist for specific treatment plans. Golden Years Wellness may be used after medical treatment as a safe method of moving.
